Sustainable advertising board
Sustainability, a word that comes up often but is rarely explained in a truly concrete way. What exactly does sustainability mean, and why is it so important that we take action? In this blog, we take a closer look at how we incorporate this socio-economic aspect into our daily work, services, and products. After all, at Image Building, we consider sustainability important, and we certainly do our part. So dive with us into the world of sustainability and discover how we ensure that you are guaranteed a sustainable advertising board.
Okay, to begin with, a brief outline. Sustainability and circularity are commonly heard concepts, but why do we hear them so often nowadays? And why is it something to which everyone — within their own possibilities — should ideally contribute? Simple… because it concerns preserving the planet we all live on. And therefore, it automatically concerns everyone.
In addition to recycling and switching to sustainable energy sources and modes of transport, you can also make a positive impact through everyday adjustments. By heating consciously, you act in an environmentally responsible way, and by choosing smart lighting with motion sensors, for example, you reduce unnecessary energy consumption. If you also opt for green energy or solar panels, it may even save you money in the long run. In this way, socially responsible entrepreneurship is not only beneficial for the planet, but also for your wallet.
Sustainability is a very important topic for us at Image Building. You can see this first and foremost in our products, which are largely made from high-quality, recyclable aluminium. The Trotter is our most sustainable advertising board due to its exceptionally long lifespan. This mobile billboard consists of various materials, including recycled steel, reused concrete, and durable thermoplastic. Plastic is lightweight, resulting in lower CO₂ emissions, and it is very strong, which helps prevent damage and product loss. In addition, plastic is easy to recycle, allowing us to turn it into new products again and again.
“But you do use PVC banners. If you throw those away after use, then I don’t have a sustainable advertising board at all, right?” — we can almost hear you thinking. And yes, throwing away PVC is not exactly sustainable, so we’ve thought about that too. After use, and with the client’s approval, we donate the banners to the workshop of Mijn Buuf. The women who work at Mijn Buuf come from many different countries but share a common creative passion. The Dutch Integration Group launched this initiative in the summer of 2018 to help female newcomers participate socially and professionally. The women at Mijn Buuf transform our advertising banners into bags, laptop sleeves, beanbags, and more!
Finally, we incorporate sustainability into our daily operations as much as possible. Among other things, we separate our waste. Our office and the warehouse where we produce our products are equipped with motion-sensor lighting. We use mugs or paper cups, and we work digitally as much as possible. And when we do choose printed materials, we print on responsibly sourced materials. This means that at Image Building, you’ll find not only a supplier of sustainable advertising boards, but also a conscious partner in outdoor advertising.
You might not have expected it, but even the choice of an outdoor advertising supplier can be a conscious one. If sustainability is a priority for you as well and you’re looking for a sustainable advertising board, get in touch with our specialists. They’ll be happy to tell you everything about the available options.
